jess, 20s, awkward queer cis grl. queen of slime, queen of filth, queen of putrescence, etc.
i like ladies, emotionally constipated train wreck characters, chosen families, detectives, monsters, people who fight monsters, dana scully’s early 90s aesthetic, and analyzing and deconstructing texts. i love amy pond, clarice starling, scott mccall, and poopy baby sherlock holmes (all variations, though i haven't seen a lot of the older movies yet), and i will fight u for their honor, like, i will eat u, probably. i used to be a vegetarian, but now i don’t have any rules!!!
seriously, though, i think it’s important to discuss the problematic aspects of media. i try to do so in a way that is constructive and respects other people’s enjoyment because i also think it's important to try to NOT BE A CRUSTY FUCKBAG, but you know: a vague disclaimer is nobody's friend. if my negative reaction to something you love is upsetting you and you’d like me to tag it in a specific way so you don’t have to see it, just let me know. i would be happy to do this! everyone deserves to like the shit they like without condescending turds on the internet making them feel bad about it. i'm too old for that shit.
also, please let me know if there’s anything else you need me to tag or warn for in my posts. ask as anon if you don't feel comfortable! it's ok to tell me i forgot to tag something. if i say or do something gross or hurtful, please don’t hesitate to let me know so i can check my shit (though it is absolutely no one’s responsibility to teach me anything--i just wouldn’t want to cause anyone further pain or perpetuate harmful ideas through my ignorance).
